whether we're together or apart.

You're always with me.

You're in my heart all the time

and usually on my mind.

Sometimes, though, when I get caught up

and it's the most wonderful feeling...

It's the feeling that you get

when you unexpectantly come across

something very precious to you

that you had somehow misplaced.

You embrace it like an old friend

grateful that you have it,

and that it's yours.

You guard it close to your heart,

vowing to take extra special care of it;

you know that this is something very special

that you don't ever want to lose.

It's not very often

that you stray from my thoughts

and it's never for very long.

But when you do,

I have the secret joy

of rediscovering you all over again,

and realizing how precious you are to me,

and appreciating you

even more.
